Cherry Tree Rootstocks


All our Cherry trees are grown on one main rootstock, the Giselle 5 - A new dwarfing root stock ideal for small gardens and pot culture. Rarely grows more than 8 ft depending on soil type and when grown in a pot, approximatley 6ft.
This rootstock is renowned for its remarkable ability to set a good crop at an early stage in life, making it the best choice for a productive tree.

This is the culinary cherry 'par excellence', the fruit of which ripen to a deep shiny black/red. Superb for tarts, jams, bottling and cherry brandy. When allowed to hang on a wall they become a refreshing, though tart, dessert fruit. Fans may be planted on any aspect wall including the North.
