Fig Petite Nigra

Fig Petite Nigra.
A recent introduction from the USA ,this is a small yet very tasty fruit, dark purple to black in the sun. Often ripening later in the summer - September if outside, our staff will wait patiently for this one to ripen.
The leaves are interesting in that they show a juvenille shape when younger with a more delicate cut edge, expanding as the leaves grow.

Althought the name is petite- it can, if planted out grow to 10ft.
