Duo Cordon Pear tree - Conference & Invincible
Two pear trees grafted onto one to create a self-pollinating pair of trees that grow as a single cordon. The varieties will ripen at different times, pruning is easy and simple. The double grafting makes this tree much more compact and ideal for growing in small gradens and containers on the patio or terrace.
Pear Conference - RHS Award of Garden Merit.
A prolific pear bred last century by Rivers Nursery. Partially self fertile but often better if cross-pollinated. Somewhat long and hard fleshed, softening after it has been picked. Pale green fruit familiar to many.
Self fertile - pollination group 3
Pear Invincible Delwinor - Invincible is well named because of its tough and hardy character, heavy crops are set each year and the tree often produces a second set of blossom after a heavy frost. Fruit quality is good with dessert and cooking options. Ideal for exposed situations.
Pollination group 2. Ripens mid September.
