Fig Tree Afghanistanica

The Afghan fig (syn.Johannis) is a relatively new introduction as figs go, a beautiful ornamental tree with deeply lobed 'filligree' leaves. Grown as a pot standard or as a specimen tree in the garden. It is a very hardy type, typically 8F temperatures are reported to cause no damage to the trees when established.

The fruits which are small are not the most useful feature of this plant.
