Rhubarb Stockbridge Arrow.
The leaves are shaped like an arrow head giving this plant its name. This quality strain has a deep red colour and can give stalks up to 60cm/25in long when forced. Bred in Yorkshire, established crowns can each produce 3kg/6.5lb of tender, fine flavoured rhubarb, perfect for making chutneys and rhubarb crumble. Stockbridge Arrow is difficult to beat.
These divided crowns are freshly lifted from the bed.
NB. Rhubarb leaves are poisonous and must be removed completely from the stalks before these are cooked.
